Spare Rib Marinade
ingredients 4 lb. Spareribs
250gms honey dew honey
½ cup chopped onion
½ tsp salt
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp prepared mustard
400gms ketchup
½ tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp apple-cider vinegar
2 Tbsp BBQ sauce
Method Cut spareribs in serving size portions.
Simmer in enough water to cover, plus 2 teaspoons salt for ½ hour.
Mix remaining ingredients and add to saucepan and cook this over a low heat for 5 - 7 minutes.
Drain liquid and place the ribs in an oven dish.
Pour sauce over the ribs and bake in a moderately hot oven, 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6 for 40 - 45 minutes or until tender.
Baste every 10 minutes.
Serves 6.
